Ten members decided to chance the predicted rain and thunderstorms to hike into Towell Falls on Wednesday.  As it turned out the predictions were wrong again and we hiked in partly sunny weather.  However Rock Creek was very high which prevented us from hiking below the main falls.  Becky and Dennis found a geo-cache near the falls.  This led to a discussion about geo-caching while we ate our lunch by another falls nearby.  Then all of us hiked the loop beside Rock Creek back to the trailhead.  Most of the group went to explore Escure Ranch (a former sheep station) before we headed home. – Dyane
