Trip Opportunity to Branson, MO with America by Rail
September 20 - 29, 2008 - Pasco, WA to Branson, MO via Amtrak's Empire Builder train and motor coach.
The cost for this trip is $1695 per person based on double occupancy. The package includes first-class hotels, fifteen meals, private-room sleeping car accommodations on the train with dining car meals, and the entrance fees to five shows in Branson. The shows include Andy Williams, Oak Ridge Boys,
Shoji Tabuchi, Noah-The Musical, and Mickey Gilley with Joey Riley. We will also have an opportunity to see the Mall of America, The St. Louis Gateway Arch, a bus tour of Chicago (time permitting) and sightseeing tour of the Ozark Mountain area surrounding Branson. Another option is to stop at Branson's newest attraction, the Landmark Titanic Museum (entrance fee extra). This trip is limited to 50 people and as of March 31, there are 32 spots available for the September trip. If you are interested in this trip a $200 deposit per person is due now to hold your spot with the remainder of the trip fees due by July 20, 2008. To register, call 1-888-777-6605 between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm eastern time and tell them you are part of the Fun, Fit, and Over Fifty group. That way we will be seated together. We leave at 8:57 pm from Pasco on September 20th. We return home at 5:35 am on the 29th.
If you are interested in this trip but can't make the September date, the same trip is being offered October 11 - 20, 2008. I did not ask about the number of spots available in October.
July 20, 21, 22 --- RV/Camping--Heyburn State Park
at the south end of Coer d’Alene near Plummer, ID, approximately 185 miles from the Tri-Cities. Activities include, biking, hiking, and canoeing. Lake Coer d’Alene boat tours and gambling at a nearby casino are available. Reservations can be made online through the following site: www.parksandrecreation.idaho.gov or call the Reservation Center at 1-866-634-3246, or by going to the Idaho State Parks home page and following the links shown on that site. Presently club members have reserved sites 42 and 43. Senior discounts are available during weekdays.
