Bike Ride – Moderate or Strenuous - McNary Wildlife Refuge Loop
Strenuous Ride. (26 miles) Moderate (19 miles) Start at the parking lot between Rd 39 and 40 on the Pasco Columbia River bike path. Travel the bike path east to the end. Make a left and go over the Ainsworth bridge railroad overpass and make a right back onto the bike path. Continue on the bike path to Sacajawea Park Road. Make a left. Just before Route 12, take the bike path across the Snake River Bridge. Make a left on Ice Harbor Rd, right on Lake Rd to the refuge entrance of the McNary Visitor Center. After a visit at the refuge, continue south on Lake Rd; right Humorist Rd, left Ray Rd, which shortly becomes Harrison Rd then Quincy Rd right on Hansen Loop Road which after a long way becomes S 2nd St. Continue on 2nd St; right on Grain Terminal Rd. At end of the road cross a 10-foot dirt path to the bike path and continue across the Snake River Bridge. Left on Sacajawea Park Road; right on Ainsworth; left on S 9th Ave to the bike path and return to Road 39 Parking Lot. Along the way you will pass rural areas. The course of 26 miles is mostly flat with one gradual hill. Riding time will be around 2 ½ hours and a stop of 30 minutes at the wildlife refuge. The Moderate ride will return from McNary Visitor Center the way you came for 19 miles. Ride is on some surface roads and paths with little traffic but you should wear highly visible clothing, and wear a bike helmet.
Bike Ride - Relaxed - Columbia Park to Clover Island
Relaxed ride: Columbia Park to Clover Island (12 miles RT). Start at the Columbia Park West Marina (across from the REACH Museum). The ride follows the river down to the Blue Bridge, with a few dipsy-doodles away from the main road. Going under the Blue Bridge, you will go up a small hill and over to the dike. Once on the dike, you continue to the Light House, then on to Ice Harbor Brewpub. You go back to the park and up the road to the marina where you started. The ride is a total of 12 miles on a level road with bike lanes or bike/pedestrian paths. You should wear highly visible clothing, and wear a bike helmet.
Bike Ride – Strenuous or Moderate – West Imnaha to WSU Loop via Chamna
Strenuous Ride. (30miles) Moderate (17 miles) Start at W Imnaha Ave and W. Louisiana riding on Imnaha to Center Parkway, straight through 4 way stop until you reach Steptoe, going straight, turning right up Bellerive and then down Bellerive, left onto bike path along Keene, right onto Queensgate and down Chamna, following this straight, turning left and riding up hill and another left onto Jadwin. Follow Jadwin (through narrow path) until you reach Falley, turning right and ride across with light at GWW. This will take you through RCC’s parking area and then ride north along Columbia River, path and Harris Ave to WSU, continue on Riverfront Trail, past Starch Plant, turning left onto University and left onto Dalton, which turns into Fermi and dead ends with left onto Smarpark and right onto Garlick. Ride through fountain area and right onto Spengler, and left onto bike trail and intersection across Jadwin to Green Belt Trail and left at Van Giesen, right onto Birch, right onto Cottonwood to right at Duportail, crossing 240, downhill to Chamna and hard left uphill to wineries and Keene. Then back to W Imnaha Ave and W. Louisiana. Ride is about 30 miles with mostly good bike lanes and some hills. The moderate ride is turning around at RCC for 17 miles. Riders should wear visible clothing, bring water and wear a bike helmet.
Bike Ride – Moderate or Strenuous - RCC to Col Solare Winery
Strenuous Ride. (31 miles) Moderate (17 miles) Start at RCC, RCC riding North along the river, turning left onto River Rd and on to Van Giessen, turning right onto Antinori Road, which has a LONG gradual hill of 6% grade to Col Solare Winery. There is a wonderful view from the top at the winery. After stopping at the winery follow the NEW continuation of Antinori Road (little traffic, nice wide road) left where it connects with Sunset and passes several of our popular wineries in Benton City. At the stop sign on Sunset and Van Giesen turn right on Van Giessen, right on DeMoss Rd, on to Ruppert, left on Van Giessen and back to RCC. 31-mile ride is on mostly surface roads so riders should wear highly visible clothing, bring water and wear a bike helmet. Allow 3 hours for ride. The moderate ride is to turn left on Keene and back through Chamna for a 17-mile ride.
Bike Ride - Moderate - Chiawana Park to Sacajawea Park Loop
Moderate. (18 miles) Start at Chiawana Park Boat Ramp, riding easterly on the bike/pedestrian path along the Columbia River ,designated as the Heritage Trail, to Sacajawea Park and return. The total distance is about 18 miles RT staying on the Franklin Co side. The route is on paved surfaces suitable for all types of bikes. Bring water and snacks and wear a bike helmet. Allow 2+ hours.
Bike Ride – Moderate - RCC to Hanford Area Loop
Moderate. (21 miles) Start at RCC, riding north on path along Columbia River to USS Tritron Submarine Memorial Park, turning right to catch Stevens Drive riding north until turn around at Railroad Crossing (about 10 miles) or a little uphill. Follow Stevens Drive back turning left onto Horn Rapids Road and right for one block onto George Washington, left onto 11th. Travel back to the Submarine Memorial Park and catch the bike-pedestrian path back to our starting point of RCC. Ride is about 21 miles total on fairly level terrain, some path and some roads with very wide bike shoulders with little traffic but wear highly visible clothing and wear a bike helmet.

Strenuous (30-mile ride) Moderate (18 miles) Desert Hills Middle School-Canyon Lakes-Finley-Kennewick – start at Desert Hill Middle School Sports Complex parking lot on W 15th St between Clodfelter Rd and Bob Olson Parkway. (E) on 15th; R- Bob Olson Parkway; to Hildebrand; Cross Hwy 395; R- Canyon Lakes Dr.; R-Irby; R-40th Ave.; R-Ely; L-45th Ave. ; L-Washington to E 41st Pl. to S. Date St to 36th Ave.; L-Gum; R-27th Ave.; (For the moderate ride - Left on Oak to R- 3rd Ave.; R- Auburn to Roxy Coffee Shop); For the Strenuous ride: Right on Oak; L-Bowles Rd ; R- Haney; L- E Game Farm Rd; (to Finley Middle School); L- S Finley; R- Havana; L- E 7th Ave; R- Yew; L- 3rd Ave; R- Chemical Dr.; L- Gum; R- 3rd Ave.; R- Auburn to Roxy Coffee Shop; Return to 1st Ave.; R- 1st Ave. to 4th Ave.; L- Steptoe; R-15th Ave. to starting location. Bike Ride (relaxed) Across the Yakama
This is an easy relaxed ride (10 miles), all on bike lanes and bike/pedestrian paths. Start at the West Columbia Park Marina (1776 Columbia Park Trail, Kennewick, WA) below the REACH, and ride along the dike towards Richland. After going over the Yakima River Bridge, go under the I-182 Bridge and through Columbia Point Marina. ride along the river to Howard Amon Park, turn left and head down Lee Blvd. to the Atomic Ale Brewpub. Then we reverse our ride, returning back to the Columbia Park Marina. The ride is about 10 miles round trip. Wear a bike helmet.

Strenuous (24 miles) Moderate (17 miles) – Start at Yokes 454 Keene Rd, Richland (E) Bike Path, (R) Venus, (L) Gage, (R) Bellerive, (L) Meadows S, (C) Rachael, (R) Steptoe, (L) 4th Ave, (R)Kellogg, (L) 10th Ave, (R) Irving, (L) 18th, (R)Dawes, (L) 19th Ave, (R)Ely, (L) 27th Ave, (R) Olympia, (L) Highlands, (R)Washington, (R) 45th Ave, (R) Ely, (L) 40th , (L) Irby, (L) Canyon Lakes Dr, (L)Hildebrand-Bob Olson Prky- Steptoe and return. The moderate ride is from 19th make a right on Union; (R) Southridge;(R) Hildebrand. Riders should wear highly visible clothing and a helmet.
Bike Ride – Moderate - RCC to Twin Bridges Loop
Moderate (21 miles) Start at RCC; riding north on path along Columbia River sharp left just before Condos onto Battelle Blvd. Follow Battle across Stevens. At end of Battelle Blvd., turn left onto Kingsgate Way and turn right onto 240. This has a fairly wide bike lane, ride to left onto Twin Bridges Road, this ends when you turn left onto the Road along the Canals. Follow this to Ranch Road, eventually riding past Golf Course and to Van Giessen, crossing 240, catching Cottonwood and left onto Dupertail, downhill across Wellsian Way, and Falley at light to cross George WA Way back to RCC. Ride is about 21 miles on fairly level terrain, some path and some roads, but with good bike lanes. Riders should wear highly visible clothing and a helmet.
Bike Ride – Moderate or Strenuous - RCC to Collegium Cafe Loop
Strenuous ride (26 miles) Moderate (12 miles) - Start at RCC, riding from Richland over the I-182 Bridge, transverse down to Court riding east into Pasco catching the bike/pedestrian path near Road 100.Continue on path past the Blue Bridge turning left near 25th Ave and turning right onto West 'A' Street, follow this for about 4 miles (past S 1st Ave) making West 'A' Street turn into East 'A' Street. Pasco Auto Wrecking will be on your right and the Collegium Cafe, your destination, is on your left. The return is the way you came. Ride is about 26 miles round trip. The moderate ride is 12 miles: and starts at the Wade Park Road 54 parking lot. Riders should wear highly visible clothing and a helmet.
Bike Ride – Relaxed Ride to Lunch- Claybell Park to Southridge
A relaxed ride to (a takeout) lunch. (11 miles) Start at Claybell Park in Meadow Springs and go right on Bellerive, left on Center Parkway right on Steptoe, across Clearwater down to the roundabout to Bob Olson Parkway which will turn into Hildebrand Blvd and ride all the way to Southridge to Hops n Drops. The return is the way you came. The trip is about 11 miles round trip on paved surfaces for all bike types and rider capabilities. Riders should wear highly visible clothing and a helmet.
