Bicycle Difficulty Definitions

Relaxed: Generally under 12 miles; no pressure to keep up the pace; frequent stops to regroup, often on bike paths and often have the destination of a restaurant or brew pub.
Moderate: Generally under 24 miles; a few hills but none too serious; need to be able to keep a reasonable pace; will stop to regroup occasionally.
Strenuous: Generally over 18 miles with significant hills or over 24 miles that may have challenging hills; need to keep a faster pace; will stop once or twice to regroup.

Note:
  • Rides may include more than one route that allows riders to start out together but split into two groups of different difficulty
  • These definitions are somewhat subjective, but is a function distance, hills and who is leading the ride.  The route is included in the calendar detail and you can review for specifics.
The Fun, Fit & Over Fifty Club (FFOFC) brings together adults over 50 years of age and promotes their physical, intellectual, and social health.
All adults in the Tri-Cities area of Washington State are invited to JOIN the over 300 members of the Fun, Fit & Over Fifty Club.
