January 7-10, 2025 Winthop Ski/ Snowshoe Trip 33 club members traveled to the Methow Valley in northern Washington where 120 miles of groomed cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails were available for their enjoyment. The natural beauty of the area, wildlife, and the quaint valley towns added to the enjoyment of this four day trip.

January 2, 2025 Horseshoe Prairie The first snow sports event of the year was a real treat! Lots of snow, light wind, even a little sunshine, and our band of 6 actually found the elusive Blues Crews shelter!

2024

March 28, White Pass Ski Conditions were terrific! New snow -6 inches of powder, and uncrowded slopes made for a fun day. Five of us spent the night in Packwood and traveled up to the pass again to check out the Nordic area and found sunshine and beautiful trees and snow. We enjoyed both our old favorite trails and explored the newer area which offered views of the downhill resort across the highway.

March 10, Guided Snowshoe hike at Snoqualmie Pass Ten members traveled west on Thursday, and met at breakfast Friday at Snoqualmie Summit. We walked to the new Forest service digs and were welcomed by volunteer guides, Cindy and Jerry. Our guides gave a brief orientation and provided us with avalanche beacons, shovels and probes, and provided suitable snowshoes for those who needed them. Our hike began, passing through the National Forest, 15 seconds on the PCT, and finally ascending to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and the beautiful Commonwealth Basin.
Our 4-5 mile hike was exhilarating, peaceful, challenging and above all, beautiful! Skies were partly cloudy and it snowed off and on, but the sun managed,mid-afternoon, to give us views of surrounding peaks.

Bumping Lake February 2022 8 club members enjoyed a beautiful day trip to snowshoe at Bumping Lake Snopark.

Mazama 5 Day February 2022 A 5-day trip to Mazama WA in the Methow valley. This trip always includes a snowshoe hike or skiing near Sun Mountain resort.

Mazama January 2022 Eight members traveled to the Methow valley in January for a few days of cross country skiing. We stayed in Winthrop WA and enjoyed great snow!
